from The Approximate Years by Batomeac

/

about

Inspired by my fear of driving and on hearing the poem "Car Crash" by Michael Rohan. Multilayered guitar over a drum beat.

Originally released on MP3.com.au/Approximate in July 2000.

'The 60kph Ton' featured on Australia's radio station Triple J's Net 50 MP3 of the Week, 18th November 2000.

lyrics

Baba has been hurt
to his own satisfaction
now America is dreaming
Who made this big fat moon
swing down low below the yellow door
Is it Marc Chagall above floating
or Pollock with a big splash
just about De Kooning abstract.
Morning comes down
with a paint brush crushed up in blood
from a car crash...

Selection from the poem "Car Crash", Michael Rohan. Used with permission.
